About

The Graduate School (SPs) -ITB is one of the supporting units that work on the development, implementation, and quality assurance program for postgraduate education at ITB. In function, SPs ITB together with other schools/faculties are responsible for the implementation of postgraduate education programs. SPs also coordinate with the ITB Quality Assurance Unit (SPM) in carrying out postgraduate education quality assurance and represent ITB in implementing postgraduate education collaborations.

Master's Program This Master's program aims to increase the level of mastery of knowledge and abilities obtained by participants during their undergraduate education, so that they are more active and have a steady role, both in terms of knowledge and in its application. To achieve this goal, although it is open to select one special field, mastery of overall program knowledge is maintained, so that graduates can still move agilely within the scope of their work. The Master program held at ITB has an academic/scientific orientation, which emphasizes the ability of science in more depth. Professional Master Education is currently being explored by several teams and/or commissions from various disciplines.

The education period for the Master education program is two years, which is divided into 4 (four) semesters. Normal study load in each semester ranges from 9 credits to a maximum of 12 credits. The overall academic load of the Master's program is 36 credits, so the study period can be taken in 3 semesters. The maximum study period for the Master program is not more than 3 (three) years.

Doctoral Program The Doctoral Program aims to produce graduates who have an academic attitude, able to research independently, and able to make a meaningful contribution to the realm of science, engineering science, or art and design. Research leading to a Doctoral degree can be carried out in Engineering Sciences, Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Fine Arts and Design Sciences. The Doctoral degree is awarded after the Doctoral candidate demonstrates mastery of in-depth knowledge in the above-mentioned scientific branches, demonstrates the ability and skills to research independently in one or more branches covered by one of the fields mentioned above and the research is original or reveals a novelty. The results of the research add to the existing repertoire of science/technical science/art/design science or reveal new problems which according to the rules of engineering/visual arts and design, can be proven in a dissertation so that there is no doubt

The education period for the Doctoral education program is four years, which is divided into 8 (eight) semesters. Normal study load in each semester ranges from 9 credits to a maximum of 12 credits. The overall academic load of the Doctoral program is 42 credits. The maximum study period for the Doctoral program is not more than 6 (six) years.
